CASA DEL RIO DORMITORY
On-campus lodging is reserved in Casa del Rio, a state-of-the-art, 1-year-old dormitory. It is located on the central campus in walking distance to the Student Union Building where the Gathering activities will be taking place. It is about a 10-minute walk at an easy pace on a flat surface.
Each dorm room is fully furnished and includes two twin beds. Up to 2 kids can sleep on the floor on mats or air mattresses free of charge (you must provide the mat or air mattress). Each room has a microwave and mini-fridge, is air conditioned, and has free internet access. Every two rooms share one adjoining bathroom.
There is a small workout room and computer lab on the first floor of the building. There is a communal kitchen and laundry on two of the four floors of the dorm. The building sits on a big open play field and sand Volleyball court.

A few areas to look into:
- Albuquerque Uptown (on I-40 East) has upscale hotels and is about 15 minutes from the University
- Near the airport, 10 minutes from the University
- On Menaul (near Eleganté) are mostly medium priced hotels and motels, about 10 minutes from the University
- There are more upscale hotels and regular motels heading north on Interstate 40, about 15 minutes from UNM
NOTE: Motels east of the University on Central past Carlisle are not acceptable or clean. Do not stay in anything east on Central except for HiWay House.
