There are many volunteer opportunities at this year's gathering!  Consider helping out for even an hour!

Fill out the form below or see descriptions of the opportunities below the form.

CHILDREN & FAMILIES

VOLUNTEER

Help with set-up (Wednesday afternoon):  A few people are needed to help set up the gift shop, signage, and registration table on Wednesday before the gathering begins.  Should be good fun all around!  Come help if you plan to arrive early!

Help with clean-up (Saturday night or Sunday morning): We need to take down the gift shop on Saturday night and make sure all of the workshop rooms are clean and in order before we all go back home.  We'll do most of this for a few hours on Saturday night and a few hours on Sunday morning before lunch.  A few hands will make a huge difference!

Assist with on-site event coordination: We have a great site coordinator who can't do it all alone!  She may need help getting extra chairs into a room or locating that missing flipchart.  Perhaps the piano isn't where it needs to be!  For whatever arises, she'd love your help!  Even an hour or two at some time during the gathering will help her feel supported and make her (volunteer) job much easier!

Provide technical support for entertainment and/or presentations: Do you know how to get that projector to work? What if a Power Point presentation just won't show up?  How about if that microphone is screeching?  Do you know what to do?  If you're techie like that, let us know!  We love you!  And we don't know how to fix it ourselves!  We'd love you to be willing to be on-call or to help set up entertainment.

Help with registration: You know the deal!  Sit at a table for a few hours and chat with all of your Subud friends as they arrive!  (And also pass out name tags and registration packets and make sure everyone has paid.)  You are the welcome team! Bring a big smile!   Even an hour or two of working the registration table is INVALUABLE!   Really!!

Help with the program for teenagers:  We are so excited about the program for teenagers this year and could use a few adults who are willing to work with the kids to help them find ways to express themselves, have fun, and engage meaningfully in the gathering.  We could also use some adults to go on fun teen trips if these arise. You know you want to go to the rock climbing wall (if the teens decide they want to do this...)!

Help with kids programming (ages 5-11): The little kids will be doing all sorts of silly, fun, exciting things and need a few adults to do them too!  And to pass out requisite juice boxes and animal crackers!  Let us know if you want to hang with the kids for a few hours.  They're super cute!

Lead an activity specifically for kids or teens: Want to take the kids on a nature walk?  Or to lead a workshop in expressive finger painting?  Do you do improv and can you teach teenagers how to also?  What about a dance party for kids?  If you have an idea for engaging kids or teens, let us know!  We'd love to have you offer your talents to the little ones!

Participate in a parent daycare co-op (ages 0-4):  If you're bringing a tiny baby, a toddler, or a pre-schooler, we will help you coordinate with other parents to have a daycare co-op so that you can participate in the gathering.  This co-op model has worked well in the past.  Let us know and we'll hook you up with other parents.

Serve as a helper for timing latihan or personal testing: If you already know that you would like to offer your services as a helper for timing latihans or for doing personal testing, let us know.  It will help us with our planning!  You can also (of course) offer your services once you get to the gathering.

Help manage the silent auction: We're really excited about our silent auction, which is no small feat to put on.  Right now, we have one person doing the entire thing.  She would LOVE if you are willing to help set up and break down the auction (and distribute auction items to people when it's over).  This is not a huge commitment on your part but it will be super helpful if you can give an hour or two.

Assist in the gift shop:  Again, if you can give an hour or three to look after the gift shop, it means that the gift shop coordinator can go do a little personal testing or participate in a cool workshop.  Spreading this responsibility out over many people means that everyone gets to participate in the gathering!  For that hour or three, you would be responsible for processing any purchases made (so we'd want to do about 15 minutes of training beforehand).
